There is no doubt the weather has been crazy the past few months. Let us introduce you to La Nina. She is also a weather system, like her brother El Nino
1) La Nina typically lasts for a season of nine months to a year, but can last for up to two years.
2) She is also the result of weather changes in the easterly trade winds of the Pacific Ocean.
3) Unfortunately she is probably just around the corner.
Both systems are alike in that they bring great disruption in weather patterns, which often result in extreme conditions. In La Nina's case the resulting atmospheric instability can lead to a more active hurricane season.
Even as El Nino is winding down it is highly recommended that you make sure you have adequate flood insurance coverage.
Call us at Moody Agency, (941) 493-1583 Venice or (941) 429-8801 North Port so we can help! You will be glad you did if the storm hits!
